Muskegon Lake - Pt. 2 - 8/10/19
Plaque winners Ricky Johnson (Big Bass), Trevor Hassalevris and Shane Hanks II, (1st place), Kelly Geertman and Chad Nauta (3rd place), and Ben Baker and Connor Hagen (2nd place). (Sorry they say Grand River, guys!! Guess you'll remember the high water levels on the river when you look at those!)
Due to historic high waters, Harbor Island boat launch being flooded, and no other viable options for the planned Grand River tournament, the last of the Classic Qualifiers brought us back to Muskegon Lake for another visit. More comfortable temps made for a nice day on the water, which meant some areas sure saw more pleasure boaters than during our last visit.
At the end of the day, it was Shoreline newcomers Trevor Hassalevris and Shane Hanks II who came out on top, for what was their first tournament win, with a net weight of 18.11 lbs. Not far behind for a 2nd place finish with 17.66 lbs. were Ben Baker and Connor Hagen. Shoreline veterans Chad Nauta and Kelly Geertman rounded out the top 3 with 17.25 lbs. Big Bass of the day went to Ricky Johnson, another new member this year, for his 4.80 lb. hog. Huge thanks to Predator Bass Baits for presenting today's event!!
At the conclusion of today's event, we were happy to hand out raffle prizes for the National MS Society fundraiser, with the grand prize going to Brian Burmania. Thank you all for your support!!
After correcting some data issues long after the crowd cleared out, we determined the 2019 Anglers of the Year are Scott Hannahs and Mark Vilneff - CONGRATULATIONS!!
