Muskegon Lake 8/11/18

Mother Nature could not have done much better for today's final Classic Qualifier on Muskegon Lake, presented by Quiet Cove Baits. Just when it starting to get a little warm, we got some good air movement across the water.

What really heated up was the competition as fish came across the scales and churned up the points for the Angler of the Year title. Coming in 1st place for the day were Chad Nauta and Kelly Geertman, who weighed in at 16.28 lbs. and tacked 50 points onto their season total. In 2nd place were Paul Simonis and Marty Herthaft for their 15.69 lb. sack. Rounding out 3rd place were Matt Kaiser and Nick Compagner with 15.60 lbs. Today's Big Bass prize went to Jeff Gerould for his 4.72 lb. largemouth.

Congratulations to the 2018 Anglers of the Year Chad Nauta and Kelly Geertman, long-time members of Shoreline Bass Tour! To see who else made the cut to fish in the Classic, click here.
