Grand River 8/12/17
|
Today's final Classic qualifier on the Grand River was a challenge for many. For a next-to-nil chance of rain in the forecast, it sure got wet for a bit this morning. That, plus the increasing wind, and the challenge of tracking down hogs on the Grand made for a hard day's work for some. Coming out on top for their 2nd win of the season were Don Watts and Brian Burmania, who won by a landslide with 15.57 lbs. In 2nd place with an impressive 13.19 lbs. were Chad Bleeker and Chuck Burhans. To make for some fun banter at the next Bleeker family gathering, Randy Bleeker and Todd Krikke rounded out the top 3 with 12.90 lbs. Today's Big Bass prize went to Clint Smith, for his 4.40 lb. largemouth, which topped the second biggest by over a half pound. Congratulations to all of today's finishers, and to the 13 boats who will continue on to the Classic on Lake Leelanau in September. For today's complete results, scroll down.
