Dylan Compagner Memorial
White Lake - 7/1/18
Today's celebration of Dylan's life and love for fishing was one to be remembered for years to come. A total of 53 boats hit the water for a day of searching for the big ones like Dylan so loved to do. Luckily it didn't rain like last year, but the scorching heat and 20 MPH winds sure made for a challenge. After coming off the water, we were fortunate to enjoy a cook-out, some social time, auctions, raffles, and the handing out of tons of prizes.
Winning today's special event were father/son team Russ and Rodney Hirdes, who weighed in at 17.48 lbs. Russ also cashed in on the Big Bass of the day, a 4.34 lb. largemouth. In 2nd place were Kevin and Blake Haveman, with 17.28 lbs. Coming in 3rd were Don Watts and Norm Greene, with a total weight of 15.46 lbs. Today's 2nd place Big Bass went to Jon VanPernis for his 3.99 lb. catch.
We want to thank everyone who helped make this event happen, from set-up, running the weigh-in, serving food, capturing photos of the event, and especially to those individuals and businesses who donated prizes and money, and the amazing support of all of you who donated. We raised $3,073 for the National MS Society!!! The participation and generosity of all of you was very heart-warming and humbling. You are all incredible! Thank you!!
