Elk, Torch, and Skegemog Lakes
9/14/19 and 9/15/19
This year's Classic was another 2-day event, on the Elk/Torch/Skegemog chain in beautiful Antrim and Grand Traverse Counties. Some had been on the water before, and a few were there for the first time. We enjoy getting out of the comfort zone we're all used to and were happy to have all the teams along for some good fishing and a fun cookout.
Coming out on top after the 2nd day were Scott Snellen and Matt Dyer, who weighed in a total of 42.21 lbs., setting themselves apart from the rest of the field on Day 2 with 22.58 lbs. and the day's biggest bass at 5.19 lbs. Gary Bierling and Mark Byker took 2nd with an impressive 2-day total of 34.34 lbs. Bass fishing runs in the Byker family, evidently, because it was Zac Byker and Jesse DeYoung who took 3rd place with 16.89 lbs.
We want to thank one of our 2019 Major Sponsors D&R Sports Center for again sponsoring the cookout and allowing us to enjoy some delicious food and camaraderie with each other.
Thanks for a great year and see you in 2020!
